FTP is the short form for File Transfer Protocol. It is the most popular method used by those who need to move files from their personal computer to a web server for display on a website.
To transfer a file using FTP, you need an FTP client/software. There are several free and commercial software tools available to use. One recommended free tool is called WS_FTP. See the Ipswitch web site at http://www.ipswitch.com for more information.
